COMMUNITY FUNDS.
Mercury supports the communities it operates in with a focus on listening and responding to the community's needs.
Our employees extend across the Motu, so we have an internal Employee Community Fund in which our employees can apply for funding for the groups or community organisations they care about. We also have Community Funds for groups or organisations to apply directly for support, currently available in the communities near Kaiwaikawe wind farm, Kaiwera Downs, Kawerau, Manawatū, Oamaru, Taupō, Tauranga and Waipipi.
KAIWERA DOWNS
The Mercury Kaiwera Downs Wind Farm Community Fund supports groups and projects in the communities around the wind farm.
KAWERAU
The Mercury Kawerau Community Fund supports groups and projects in the community around our Kawerau Geothermal Power Station.
MANAWATū
The Mercury Manawatū Community Fund supports groups and projects in the communities below our wind farms at Ashhurst and Palmerston North.
OAMARU
The Mercury Oamaru Community Fund is just one of the ways we support the home to one of our friendly, national contact centres.
Taupō
The Mercury Taupō Community Fund supports groups and projects in the communities around Lake Taupō and the Waikato awa.
TAURANGA
The Mercury Tauranga Community Fund supports the community where many of our wonderful people live, work and play.
WAIPIPI
The Mercury Waipipi Wind Farm Community Fund supports groups and projects that benefit the community around the wind farm.
