IMPORTANT: NEW LPG CUSTOMERS.

Please note that we are unable to accept any new LPG customers at this time. This is due to a temporary  shortage of LPG bottles. We expect this to be resolved at the start of Feb 2025.

Wind turbines at Mercury's Kaiwera Downs Wind Farm

KAIWERA DOWNS WIND FARM COMMUNITY FUND.

We know this is a community where people get things done. The Kaiwera Downs Wind Farm Community fund is an annual fund of $20,000 to support organisations and projects in the communities around the wind farm. The next funding round opens in January. If you’d like to receive email updates on the fund and other project-related info, we’ll add you to the list at kaiweradownswindfarm@mercury.co.nz.

KEY INFORMATION

The Fund is looked after and administered by the Mercury Kaiwera Downs Community Fund committee, made up of community members who have a good understanding of the local area and where additional support (from the Fund) might make a real difference. In 2024 we supported ten applicants from across the community including a local school, community halls, a pony club, toy library, youth camp, historic cemetery and the collie club.

Applications from our neighbours in the Tuturau, Waikana, Kaiwera District, Ferndale areas will be considered first by the Committee.
