MERCURY ULTIMATE FREE POWER DAY ACTIVATION GIVEAWAY TERMS AND CONDITIONS

The Promotion

  1. By entering this ‘Mercury Ultimate Free Power Day Activation Giveaway’ (“Promotion”) each customer who completes the form will have 1,500 rewards points applied to their account (“Prize”). The 1,500 rewards points can be used to redeem a Free Power Day or account credit (“Credit”). Points will be applied within 5 business days following the end of the Promotion period. 
  2. The Promotion runs from 11am on the 11th of March 2026 and ends at 9pm on the 12th of March 2026 (“Promotion Period”). 
  3. Promotion prizes (“Prize”) are not transferable or redeemable for cash. If for any reason we unfortunately can’t provide the Prize, we’ll give you another Prize of the same (or greater) value. 
  4. A Free Power Day is a full 24 hours of free electricity that runs from 12:00am to 11:59pm. You’ll receive a Free Power Day credit on your Mercury account for all your electricity charges on the date of your Free Power Day. The electricity charges that you’ll receive a Free Power Day credit for are; your daily fixed charge, your variable usage charges, GST and the Electricity Authority Levy or Electricity Market Fee. The Free Power Day credit excludes any special charges, gas or service charges. We’ll use the price plan that you’re on five working days before your Free Power Day to work out what your fixed and variable charges are. 
  5. A Credit is a fixed value discount that is applied to your Mercury account. The Credit will show on your Mercury account within 7 days of redemption.    
  6. Free Power Days or account credit are available to redeem via the Mercury App or My Account via the Mercury website.  
  7. Points applied can be used whenever the winner decides. Points are subject to Mercury’s standard rewards points expiry term of 12 months.  

Eligibility

  1. To be eligible to enter this Promotion, you’ll need to be living in NZ, aged 18 years or over and an existing Mercury customer with rewards switched on. 

How to Enter

  1. To enter the Promotion, visit the Ultimate Free Power Day activation in Britomart, Auckland and complete the form during the Promotion Period.  
  2. Entries must be received by Mercury before the expiry of the Promotion Period. 
  3. We want this Promotion to be fair for everyone, so if any entries are incomplete, illegible, 'hacked' or look fraudulent they may be deemed invalid at our discretion. 
  4. We are not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, servers or providers. Nor are we responsible for any incorrect information caused by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilised in this Promotion, or by any technical error that may occur in the course of the administration of this Promotion. 
  5. By entering this Promotion and accepting any prize, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.

  2. We do our best to make all of our Promotions wonderful, but sometimes things can go wrong. However, if something does go wrong Mercury and its suppliers will not be liable to you for any loss or damage (including personal injury) that you might suffer through participating in the Promotion or winning (or not winning) any Prize. 
  3. Occasionally, things happen which are outside of Mercury’s control and we may have to change or cancel the Promotion or these Terms.
