Here’s your chance to win with Mercury! We want to say thanks to all our customers who have been supporting Starship and to those who have recently jumped on board as a Starship Supporter and are helping make a real impact to the lives of kiwi kids.

To say thanks, every Mercury customer who is a current Starship donor will automatically go into the draw to win one of four $500 power credit prizes for their power usage. We’re also offering an extra entry to those who increase their donations between December 3^rd and midnight on December 31^st.

New donors who start donating to Starship on their bill between December 3^rd and midnight on December 31^st will also receive 1 entry into the draw to win this prize.

If you win this prize, you’ll need to agree to the following terms and conditions of the Starship Supporters $500 credit Promotion (”the Promotion”) to redeem it. If you choose not to agree to these terms and conditions, we reserve the right to draw another prize winner.

We’ve put together the following terms and conditions which you agree to by entering our " Starship Supporters $500 credit Promotion " promotion (the “Promotion”): 

1. By entering this “Starship Supporters $500 credit Promotion” (“Promotion”) and accepting any prize, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. 

2. The Promotion starts at 12:01am Wednesday 3rd December 2025 and ends at 11:59pm Wednesday 31^st December 2025 (“Promotion Period”). 

3. Only people living in New Zealand that are aged 18 years or over and are an existing Mercury customer are eligible to enter the Promotion. 

4. All current customers who have donated to Starship in the previous month are automatically in the draw. Those who increase their donation over the promotional period receive an additional entry to the draw. Any customer who adds a Starship donation to their bill during the promotional period will be added to the draw. 

5. Entries must be received by Mercury before the expiry of the Promotion Period. Mercury is not responsible for entries not received and incomplete, illegible, ‘hacked’ or otherwise fraudulent entries are not valid. Mercury may disqualify from participating in this Promotion, any person who tampers with the entry process, or submits an entry not in accordance with these terms and conditions. 

6. All eligible entries received during the Promotion Period will go into the draw to win. The four prize winners will be randomly drawn by Friday 30^th January at the Mercury office (33 Broadway, Newmarket) and the winner will be notified by telephone and/or email using the information provided on the winner’s Mercury account within 7 days of the prize draw.  

7. There will be four winners and each winner will receive $500 worth of credit to their Mercury account. 

8. Prizes are not transferable or redeemable for cash. Prizes cannot be used in combination with any other prize competitions, promotions or discounts. 

9. You may not designate someone else as the winner. If you are unable or unwilling to accept your prize, Mercury may award it to an alternate winner. 

10. If you accept a prize, you will be solely responsible for all applicable taxes related to accepting the prize. 

11. If there is a dispute as to who submitted the winning entry, the winner will be the authorised account holder of the mobile phone number used to enter the Promotion. 

12. The Promoter is not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, servers or providers, or any combination thereof. Nor is it responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information caused by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilised in this Promotion, or by any technical or human error that may occur in the course of the administration of this Promotion. 

13. Mercury’s decision in relation to the winner, or any other aspect of this Promotion, is final and no correspondence will be entered into. 

14. If you win a prize, you agree to the use of your first name and the initial of your surname for promotional purposes. If you choose not to agree to this, you will no longer be eligible to win the Prize, and an alternate winner will be selected. 

15. At Mercury, we are committed to protecting your privacy. Mercury will collect and use your details for the purposes of running this Promotion. If you opt-in, Mercury may also use your details to send you marketing and promotional material. You can access or request correction of your details by emailing privacy@mercury.co.nz. Mercury’s privacy policy will apply. 

16. Mercury NZ Limited is the promoter of this Promotion and may modify these terms and conditions at any time without notice. Mercury reserves the right to cancel, suspend or change the Promotion or any element of the Promotion for any reason, including any cancellation, suspension or change necessitated by any event outside of Mercury’s control.
