ONE MONTH OF FREE POWER PROMOTION TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Here’s your chance to win wonderful with Mercury!
By entering and accepting any prize, you agree to the following terms and conditions of the One Month of Free Power Promotion (”the Promotion”). If you choose not to agree to these terms and conditions, we reserve the right to draw another prize winner.
The Prize
1. Five lucky customers will receive a bill credit, which we will apply to your Mercury account before 31 January 2024. The value of this bill credit will be the amount you were charged for your power usage between 1st and 31st December 2023, capped at $250. Depending on your billing cycle, this credit may not show until your January 2024 bill is issued. The credit will only apply to electricity charges (including your daily fixed charge, variable usage charges, GST and the Electricity Authority levy) and excludes all gas charges, broadband charges, mobile charges, special charges and service charges.
2. The prize is not transferable or redeemable for cash. You must remain a Mercury customer in the month that the bill credit is applied in order to receive the benefit of the prize.
Eligibility
3. To be eligible to enter this Promotion, you must be a Mercury customer, living in NZ, aged 18 years or over, and have signed up for rewards through My Account or the Mercury App. Employees and contractors of Mercury NZ Limited (or any of its subsidiaries), and their immediate families, are not eligible to enter this Promotion.
4. If you win a prize, you agree to the use of your first name for promotional purposes. We love sharing good news!
How to Enter 5. To enter the Promotion, download our Mercury app (if you haven't already), log in with your Mercury My Account details, and then successfully complete at least one of the 'Be in to Win a Month of Free Power' challenges as set out in the “Rewards” section of the app, under ‘Ways to Earn’. The promotion period runs from 1 December 2023 to 31 December 2023 ("Promotion Period").
6. The details for each applicable Challenge, including how long the challenge will be available for (a “Challenge Period”) will be detailed for each Challenge in the “Rewards” section of the app, under "Ways to Earn".
7. Each time you successfully complete a 'Be In to Win a Month of Free Power' challenge within the Challenge Period, you'll get one entry in the draw.
8. We want this Promotion to be fair for everyone, so if any entries are incomplete, illegible, 'hacked' or look fraudulent may be deemed invalid at our discretion.
9. We are not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, servers or providers. Nor are we responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information caused by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilised in this Promotion, or by any technical error that may occur in the course of the administration of this Promotion.
Picking the Winner
10. Five winners will be randomly drawn within ten working days of the end of the Promotion Period.
11. If you're a lucky winner, we'll notify you by phone or email within seven days of the prize draw using the contact details associated with your Mercury account.
12. If you cannot be contacted by us within seven days, Mercury may choose to redraw another winner at its discretion.
13. You will be required to confirm acceptance of these terms and conditions in writing, in order to receive the prize. If you choose not to accept these terms and conditions, you will no longer be eligible to receive a prize, and the prize will be redrawn.
Privacy
14. We’re committed to protecting your privacy. We’ll only use your details for the purposes of running this Promotion.
15. To access or correct your details, get in touch with us. Mercury’s Privacy Policy will apply.
The Legal Stuff
16. We do our best to make all our promotions wonderful, but sometimes things can go wrong. However, if something does go wrong, Mercury and its suppliers will not be liable to you for any loss or damage (including personal injury) that you might suffer through participating in the Promotion or winning (or not winning) any prize.
17. Occasionally, things happen which are outside of Mercury’s control, and we may have to change or cancel the Promotion or these terms and conditions.
