PROJECTS FUNDED BY YOUR CONTRIBUTIONS

Ovarian Tissue Cryopreservation project (OTC)
Your funding went towards a cryopreservation programme, giving young women going through cancer treatment the chance to one day have a family of their own.

Starship National Air Ambulance
The Starship National Air Ambulance picks up critically ill and injured children from across Aotearoa New Zealand. Ready to go at a moment’s notice, it flies 24/7, 365 days of the year. Your donations helped contribute to a $350,000 donation to help keep the air ambulance flying.

Respiratory and Sleep Laboratory Refurbishment
Your donations helped fund the refurbishment of the Respiratory and Sleep Laboratory ensuring a safe, inviting environment for patients with enhanced infection prevention measures. The lab provides the latest technology and support to keep children sleeping and breathing comfortably and safely.

Children’s Emergency Department (CED) Play Specialists
Part of a two-year project, your funding supported the provision of Play Specialists in Starship’s CED. They use play to help minimise stress and anxiety for children undergoing treatment, explain medical procedures, build coping strategies and create opportunities for children to feel involved in their own healthcare.
