2 Year Loyalty Discount
This additional 3% Prompt Payment Discount ("Loyalty Discount") is for Dual Fuel (electricity and gas) or electricity only pre-approved existing Mercury customers who remain a Mercury customer for the duration of the 2 year Loyalty Discount.
The standard Mercury rates will apply for a term of 2 years from the date on which we accept your response, and may change during the term of the Loyalty Discount (at least 30 days prior, notice will be given).
If you choose to move to a rate plan that includes solar generation rates for electricity during the term of this offer, the prices and terms set out in this plan will continue to apply.
The additional 3% PPD is for existing and new electricity only and dual fuel (electricity and gas) customers with this Loyalty Discount.
The Loyalty Discount will take effect on the first bill you receive after your acceptance of this offer (provided acceptance is given no later than 3 days prior to the printing of that bill).
You must pay your bill on-time and in full to receive the additional 3% PPD on that bill. Any bills not paid on-time and in full will not receive the additional 3% PPD.
Mercury may amend the terms of this Loyalty Discount at any time.
An early termination fee of $150 (inclusive of GST, if any) will apply if you cancel your fixed price plan before the end of your initial term, to compensate Mercury for its losses. This early termination fee does not apply if:
You cancel within 30 days of your fixed price plan confirmation letter and your prior rates will apply during that period; or
Your term is a renewal term
If you move property during the 2 year Loyalty Discount term:
You can take your Loyalty Discount with you so long as your move is within the same network and your new property has the same meter type; or
If we are unable to transfer your Loyalty Discount forward for you, you will no longer be eligible to receive the additional 3% PPD and you will not be charged an early termination fee, provided you remain a Mercury customer. Please contact us before you move.
Your prices are based on your current meter type:
If your meter type changes, where possible Mercury will put you on the standard price plan for your new meter.
If your current meter configuration is incorrect, we will place you on the correct pricing plan that matches your meter.
Standard Mercury rates do not include GST, and any of the Mercury Service Fees (as available on our website). Any subsequent change to the NZ Government GST rate, and Mercury Service Fees within the term of this agreement will apply.
Your Loyalty Discount term (and each subsequent renewal term (if any)), will be automatically renewed for a further term if Mercury sends you written notice of your new plan before the end of the term.
You may choose not to renew your fixed price plan for a further term by giving Mercury notice by email, phone or in writing, opting out of such renewal within the last 30 days of your then-current fixed price plan term.
If, for any reason, Mercury does not notify you of the prices or PPD rate that will apply to a renewal term before the end of the then-current term, your Loyalty Discount will expire at the end of such term, and the additional 3% PPD will no longer apply.
Unless otherwise stated or allowed by Mercury, this offer or plan cannot be combined (in whole or in part) with any other Mercury offer or plan.
