HOW DOES A FREE POWER DAY WORK?

A Free Power Day is a full 24 hours of free electricity that runs from 12:00am to 11:59pm.

Once you've enjoyed this, a credit will be applied to your account within 35 days. When this is applied, you'll see a 'Free Power Day' credit on your bill. This credit includes all applicable electricity usage and lines charges, the EA Levy, and GST for that day.

If you don’t have a smart meter, or your smart meter isn’t communicating with our system, we can’t calculate the exact value of your Free Power Day. You’ll get a credit based on your average daily usage, and we’ll add 50% on top.
