At Mercury, we’re all about making sustainable choices simple, and we’re proud to offer options that support this commitment. A Samsung heat pump can help to warm and cool areas of your home, while keeping energy costs and carbon emissions down. Here in Aotearoa, we call them heat pumps, but in many places, they’re known as air conditioners.
No matter the name, the technology is the same - our Samsung heat pumps provide both heating and cooling, making them a smart choice year-round. If you’re still relying on older heating solutions like space heaters or oil column heaters, now might be the perfect time to upgrade.

Heat pumps not only heat in winter but also cool in summer, giving you year-round use.
Compared to older heaters, heat pumps are much more energy-efficient, which could mean more savings for you.
Many heat pumps, including the Samsung models we have available, come with built-in filters to reduce dust and allergens, helping to improve the air quality.
Looking to make your bedroom or living room super cosy? We’ve got three Samsung heat pump sizes to choose from, so you can pick the one that’s right for your space.
Intelligently connect and control to help ensure your space is comfortable at anytime using the Samsung SmartThings App. You can control and monitor the heat pump remotely with just a touch.*
Keep your heat pump working efficiently with less effort. The Easy Filter Plus is located outside, on the top, so it can easily be taken out and cleaned. Its dense mesh keeps the Heat Exchanger clean and an anti-bacterial coating helps protect you against dangerous airborne contaminants*.
*Tested in Korea test lab (FITI). Data has been measured under specific testing conditions and may vary depending on environmental factors and individual use
Please note that you will be responsible for arranging and covering the cost of the installation of your Samsung heat pump. Installation cost is payable directly to your chosen installer. T&Cs apply.
We highly recommend getting a free estimate from Samsung’s partner installer, Laser Electrical, before choosing a heat pump. No video calls, no home visits - just an online form. Easy! If you prefer to give Laser a call, you can reach them at 0800 438 529.
If you prefer to work with your own installer, that works too! Just a heads-up, Samsung’s warranty requires their heat pumps to be installed by a certified HVAC installer. Your safety is our top priority, so we recommend having a certified electrician connect your heat pump to the power supply.
A well-insulated home keeps warm air in during winter and keeps heat from entering during summer, so your heat pump doesn’t have to work as hard. This can make a noticeable difference to your power bill. EECA is running a Warmer Kiwi Homes programme – if you live and own an under insulated house and meet certain criteria, you may be eligible for a heating subsidy! Visit their website to find out more.
Having your heat pump serviced periodically will keep it running smoothly and help it last longer. After your heat pump has been working, the Auto Clean function automatically dries the Heat Exchanger using a 3-step process. Ensuring your Heat Pump stays cleaner for longer
Instead of blasting the heat or cooling on full power, aim for consistent, comfortable temperatures to save energy. Samsung’s AI Auto mode can automatically optimise the various modes by analysing the room conditions and your usage patterns. Their AI technology offers an intelligent way to enhance your comfort.
