A DONATION THIS WINTER WILL GO TWICE AS FAR

Lucy's Family

This winter, we’re getting behind Starship to help boost and double the impact of your support for their life-saving work - providing the best health care for children across Aotearoa.

The Starship team do an amazing job every day in treating our children’s sicknesses and injuries. No matter where you live in New Zealand, if your child needs urgent care, Starship is on call for them. For the staff of Starship, being on call doesn’t just mean covering their wards. It means covering the length of Aotearoa travelling from Kerikeri to Invercargill, connecting the country to make sure that every child gets the care they need, and the ongoing support to thrive.

Lucy's family

Lucy was born with Williams Syndrome which is a complex condition that often comes with heart defects. Lucy’s condition lead her to 15 different procedures at Starship since the day she was born.

Thanks to the amazing specialists at Starship, Lucy’s family can now manage her condition at home in Charteris Bay, Canterbury.

Lucy showed her gratitude to those who supported her by selling honey on the side of the road to her neighbourhood and everything she raised was donated to Starship.

There are thousands of other Kiwi kids like Lucy who pass through Starship’s doors for support, and winter is the busiest time of year. So if you’d like to make a donation to help give Starship’s funding a boost this winter – you can make a one-off donation below. Your donation will go twice as far as we'll help double the impact of every dollar donated up to $100,000!

Donations to this campaign will help Starship seek out new and innovative care delivery, rolling out health equity initiatives and supporting Starship's workforce as they navigate the challenges of winter.

As a Mercury customer, you can also sign up to donate just a little on your bill each month. Read more about how our customers' support and generosity has helped fund many wonderful projects at Starship over the years.

Together, by giving just a little, we can help make a real difference to the lives of thousands of Kiwi kids and their whānau.
