AIRPOINTS™ FAQS

 

As a Mercury customer, you can earn Airpoints Dollars™ when you pay your Mercury bill.

Simply let us know your Airpoints™ details (number, first name & surname – as reflected on your Airpoints account) by updating your details in My Account or contacting our Customer Service Representatives on 0800 10 18 10 and we’ll get you set up ready to earn Airpoints Dollars. 

If your electricity account is for a business, your business will need to register for Airpoints for Business to be ready to earn Airpoints Dollars on your Mercury bill.

 

Once registered you will earn 1 Airpoints Dollar™, for every $200 (including GST) every time you pay your Mercury bill (excluding any discounts or credits applied to your bill, and any service fees or charges).

Each time you make payment on your Mercury bill, any Airpoints Dollars earned with Mercury will show on your Airpoints™ account with Air New Zealand within 5 business days.

 

Yes, you will earn Airpoints Dollars™, or the equivalent value in cents, each time you pay your bill (or part of it).  For example if your bill is $110 and you pay $100, you will earn 0.5 Airpoints Dollars. 

 

You can check your Airpoints Dollars™ earned with Mercury by logging in to your online Air New Zealand account, or by using the Air New Zealand Smartphone App.  Your Airpoints™ statement from Air New Zealand will track each time you have earned Airpoints Dollars with Mercury.

Just remember, any Airpoints Dollars earned with Mercury will show on your Airpoints account with Air New Zealand within 5 business days after payment on your Mercury bill.  

 

No, the authorised person (primary account holder) can add anyone’s Airpoints™ details to their account.

You can also change the Airpoints membership number linked to your Mercury account at any time by updating your details in My Account or contacting our Customer Service Representatives on 0800 677 702.  

 

Yes, the same Airpoints™ number can be added to more than one Mercury account, provided that this is added to the Mercury Account by the authorised person (primary account holder).  

 

AIRPOINTS™ FOR BUSINESS FAQS

 

To get ready now, simply let us know your Airpoints™ details (number, first name & surname), then once you have registered for Airpoints for Business you will be ready to earn. 

Please note that if you are a Mercury Business customers who has a Time of Use, SPOT OR Large Commercial account, OR is already an Air New Zealand Above & Beyond customer, you are not eligible to earn Airpoints Dollars™ through your Mercury account.

 

Your business will be able to earn Airpoints Dollars™ through your Mercury account, as well as additional Airpoints Dollars when you or your employees fly with Air NZ for work. 

Airpoints™ for Business enables you to earn Airpoints Dollars direct into a business account which can be managed through your Airpoints membership.
