Christmas 2011 Online Gift Offer

• The Christmas gift offer is only available to new customers who sign up for a Mercury Energy plan online at www.mercury.co.nz/Xmas.
• The Christmas gift offer is only valid for new customer sign-ups between 9/12/11 – 23/12/11.
• The Christmas gift offer online sign-up must be complete by 5pm on 23 December 2011.
• New customers who qualify for the Christmas gift offer will be sent their gift in the mail to the address specified as soon as the application is processed, which can take between 5 and 23 calendar days.
• The standard terms and conditions of each gift-card provider apply, together with the expiry date of credit on applicable gift-cards.
• Gift cards are not exchangeable or transferable and cannot be redeemed for cash.
• In the event of unforeseen circumstances, Mercury Energy reserves the right to withdraw, change or substitute gift cards with another offer of equal or greater value.

• To be eligible for the Mercury Energy account credit, you must login to your Facebook, Twitter or Google plus account (or register an account in order to do so) at the time of completing your online sign-up process (by following the steps in that sign-up process) and select the option to “share” the Mercury Energy Christmas gift offer using one of those functions (Facebook, Twitter or Google plus).
• The $30 Mercury Energy account credit will be applied to an eligible customer’s’ Mercury Energy account following successful sign-up.  If you cease to be a customer of Mercury Energy within six months following sign-up, the $30 account credit will be reversed by way of a $30 charge being added to your final bill.
• The standard terms and conditions and terms of use of Facebook, Twitter or Google plus apply to the use of such websites.
• A maximum of one Mercury Energy account credit is available per customer regardless of how many times that customer shares the offer.

• Neither gift cards, nor the $30 Mercury Energy account credit, are exchangeable or transferable and, neither may be redeemed for cash.
• If, following Mercury Energy’s standard acceptance process (including credit checking), you are not accepted for sign-up, you will not be eligible to receive the Christmas gift and $30 Mercury Energy account credit, notwithstanding that you may have already shared the Christmas gift offer in accordance with these terms and conditions.
