Aurora is the lines company that services the Dunedin area.
We have a number of price plans available. To determine which is the best plan
for you, it's important to consider the amount of electricity you use and the
metering set-up at your property. The following information explains this in
more detail.
We also offer a 10% Prompt Payment Discount when you pay your bill by the
discount expiry date.
Pricing options based on your electricity consumption and meter setup
In your network we have two price plans available - these are dependent on your
energy usage and apply to all properties that are a primary residence*:

Low User Plans
This is the best option for those who use less than 9,000 kWh per year.

Standard Plans
This is the best option for those who use more than 9,000 kWh per year

All Inclusive |
Power is available 24 hours a day to a meter, but fixed heating load (typically
for hot water) can be controlled** on the same meter by the network for a
maximum of 8 hours in any one day. |

Anytime |
One meter plan with uncontrolled electricity. |

Anytime & Controlled |
Two meter plan where power to one meter is available 24 hours a day and no load
can be controlled** by the network and a second meter that only supplies a
hard-wired appliance (typically for hot water) that can be controlled** by the
network for a maximum of 8 hours any one day. |

Day/Night |
One meter plan with Dual register, one for day time usage and another for night
time usage. |

All Inclusive with Night |
Two meter plan with one inclusive meter controlling the hot water (by a ripple
relay) for up to 8 hours and a 2nd meter that is controlled for 16 hours per
day by the Network company. |

Anytime with Nightboost |
Two meter plan with one meter for uncontrolled electricity and a 2nd meter that
is controlled for 13 hours per day by the Network company with a boost during
the afternoon. |

Anytime, Night Meter & Nightboost |
Three meter plan with one meter for uncontrolled electricity, the second that
is controlled for 16 hours per day by the Network company and the 3rd meter
that is controlled for 13 hours per day by the Network company with a boost
during the afternoon. |

Inclusive with Nightboost |
Two meter plan with one inclusive meter controlling the hot water (by a ripple

**Controlled load - this means that the electricity supply
(typically for hot water heating) can be turned off during peak times for an
