No-one does exactly the same thing each month. Sometimes you're at home every
day and sometimes you're away. So whether you're a big family with all the
latest appliances, or a household of two with more modest tastes, how can
anyone know how much power you've used?
As a Mercury Energy customer, you don't have to rely on an estimate.
We read our customers' meters every month*
ensuring you pay for
the gas and electricity you've actually used -
and not a cent more.

Mercury Energy offers a monthly meter reading service to
the majority of our customers.
However it may not always be possible for us to access your meter (if your
meter's inside and you're on holiday, for example). In these cases it is normal
for us to estimate your consumption as accurately as possible.
If this is not acceptable to you there
may be other alternatives such as our Remote Reading Service,
if you are in an area where this service is
offered; or you may be able to arrange to
provide your own meter reading.
To read your own meter** you can either:

contact our Customer Service Team on 0800 10 18 10.
Note: Mercury Energy's policy is to only accept a maximum of six consecutive
customer readings.
