Mercury Energy is implementing new payment fees from 1 July 2010 for payments made over the counter, cheque and one off credit card payments. These fees will appear on your bill the following month.

These charges can be avoided by using direct debit or electronic payment facilities (internet or telephone banking). These are hassle free ways to pay your Mercury Energy bill each month and mean you automatically receive your 10% prompt payment discount if you pay in full and by the due date.

* Payments made by cheque in person over the counter will be $1.50 (they will not incur the additional cheque fee).
** Credit card transaction fee does not apply to pre-arranged recurring monthly credit card payments. Credit card transactions are only available on some price plans.

EasyPay discount no longer available

From 1 July 2010, the 1% EasyPay discount which has previously applied to electronic payments made by direct debit, automatic payment, telephone banking, and internet banking will no longer be available. However, Mercury Energy customers will continue to enjoy a 10% discount on all accounts paid in full by the due date.
