Metrix, a wholly owned subsidiary of Mighty River Power, is the company that owns and operates mass market metering equipment for Mercury Energy and other retailers operating within the Auckland region. In addition, it manages large business metering for Mighty River Power inside the Auckland region and further afield. Metrix provides the link between Mercury Energy and its key customers. Accurate meter reading enables Mercury to invoice customers accurately and understand their usage patterns. This in turn enables us to help customers select the most appropriate pricing solution for their business. Metrix is responsible for:
- The supply, installation and maintenance of your meter.
- Remote Meter Readers (RMRs). These are purpose built single or three phase meters which allow remote reading in difficult or non access situations.
- Ripple Relays. These are remote lead control devices, typically for hot water and street lighting.
- Cyclic readings, performed any time of the month, every month, across the entire metering range.
- On-demand readings, required as a result of changes in lifestyle, work patterns, location, ownership and rental.
- Everyday inspection, certification and meter installation as required by customers.
- Site investigations regarding any concerns over metering integrity, ranging from simple identification to technical explanations.
- On-demand metering changes including site modifications and meter re-programming, to match customer requirements.
- Pro-active investigation, identification and recovery of lost revenue due to theft, errors and omissions and equipment failures.
- A fully functional and certified class 'A" test house for the refurbishment and certification of meters.
