| As a result of the passing of the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Act 2000, the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Authority (EECA) was established. EECA is a stand-alone Crown entity dedicated to promoting energy efficiency, energy conservation and renewable energy across all sectors of the economy. It also helps develop the regulations for product energy efficiency standards and labelling, as well as preparing statistics on energy efficiency, energy conservation and renewable energy. EECA packages its expertise into tangible programmes that it can work in partnership with organisations to their mutual benefit. Everyone wins when an organisation gains commercially from using energy more efficiently. Source: www.eeca.govt.nz For more information on EECA click here. |
